WHAT IS THE JUMP START PROGRAM?

Orem Youth Cycling is committed to making sure every student athlete has the best chance possible to participate in all events, regardless of their financial situation.

The primary goal of Orem Youth Cycling Association is to get more kids on bikes. This program and application are designed to give student athletes, that are in need of assistance, a means to accomplish their goals and ours. The ability to provide such support is provided by various donors and sponsors each year and we work within the limited means we have.  Your submission will be reviewed by a three member panel appointed by the OYCA board.  Funds are limited so please apply early.  Submissions should be completed before the registration deadline.

The Jump Start program is meant to help students participate on the team.  It’s not a rider sponsorship or intended to cover 100% of the cost of participating.  Awards are based on need and in most cases partial assistance will be awarded. 

 

TYPES OF ASSISTANCE WE MAY PROVIDE INCLUDE:

  • Waived Team Fees
  • Loaner Bikes
  • Other Equipment Needs (helmet, gloves, water bottles, etc.)
  • Payment for Team Kits (jersey, shorts, etc.)
  • Payment of League Fees
